Hot Shot and Helitack Crew Appreciation Dinner + BOD Meeting

Every year FOMP holds a potluck dinner for the Hotshot and Helitack crews that are based right here with us in the Monument Preserve! (Helitack photos from the ’09 season are over at Flickr – these folks have a seriously cool job and what better home base than here in Monument?)

This year it will be held next Wednesday April 20, at 5:30PM in the Fire Center Classroom building –  within the administrative area of the Preserve.

Both the Monument Hotshot Crew and the Monument Helitack crew will be there, so we expect ~30 very hungry young men and women + anyone else that attends. Everyone knows how hard they work helping fight fires right here in Colorado and across the country so we want to give them a big welcome back and remind them of our appreciation. In order to make it loud and clear FOMP needs volunteers to make food for this potluck and need the following:
  • Drinks
  • Main Dishes
  • Side Dishes/Salads
  • Desserts

If would like to help, please contact Diane Bandle at 719-494-8206 / dmbandle@hotmail.com.  If you would like to help but are unable to attend you can make arrangements to drop off your food in advance on Wednesday afternoon, or at the Fire Center Classroom between 4:30 and 5:30.

FOMP will also hold our monthly BOD meeting in conjunction with the dinner. BOD meetings are open to the public and all are welcome. Agenda is thin as we get ready for the summer work season:
